Wayne Rooney was reportedly pulled over on suspicion of drink-driving by Cheshire Police.
The 31-year-old Three Lions captain was stopped by police after an evening out.

Everton FC is being contacted, Rooney’s publicists Ian Monk Associates and Triple S Entertainment Ltd , who are yet to issue comment.
Rooney is still England’s all-time leading goalscorer with his record.

He announced his retirement last week leaving behind 53 goals for his country in 119 appearances.

Rooney re-joined hometown club Everton FC this summer and has already scored twice this new season.
At just 17, Rooney debuted with England against Australia at Upton Park in February 2003.

The first of his record of goals arrived in September that year when he scored one against Macedonia.

The next summer he announced himself in front of the whole world with an explosive display at Euro 2004 which was a tournament many feel was his best in England colours.

He overtook record Sir Bobby Charlton as the country’s all-time top scorer when he scored against Switzerland in September 2015.

Rooney replaced David Beckham as the most-capped outfield player only a year later against Slovakia.
He is also Manchester United’s leading goalscorer.

At club level, Rooney has won every honour available in English, Continental and European football , with the exception of the European Super Cup.

Along with Michael Carrick, Rooney is the only English player to win the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, League Cup, UEFA Europa League and FIFA Club World Cup during his career.
