Hennessey Performance’s Exorcist Camaro could not be more appropriately named seeing as it just vanquished most intimidating muscle car in game. With Ford Performance Racing School’s Brian Smith at wheel, Exorcist recorded a top speed of 217 mph at Continental Tire Proving Grounds in Uvalde, Texas. This easily eclipses Dodge Challenger SRT Demon’s top recorded speed of 203 mph. A video recently released on American tuning house’s YouTube channel revealed aftermarket Chevy’s impressive feat. This stunning top speed trumps that of a number of high-performance supercars including the McLaren 720S and the Lamborghini Huracan. Built atop a stock Camaro ZL1, Exorcist’s modifications include a 2.9 liter supercharger, CNC ported cylinder heads, new camshafts and an updated intercooler for that 6,2 liter V8 engine. In total it pumps out 1000 hp and sprints from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds. It also manages a quarter mile time of less than 10 seconds.

After Camaro ZL1’s starting price of $63’435 after destination, Hennessey charges an added $55’000 for modifications that go into constructing this monster. Additional options include an $8’995 drag package as well as a $6’995 road race kit. Those interested in hefty investment make sure to act fast as Hennessey only plans for a total of 100 units to be produced.
