Death Wish Coffee’s cold brew could live up to its name, health officials warn. Company that boasts being the “world’s strongest coffee” has recalled its Nitro Cold Brew 11 ounce cans that could lead to botulism, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning. Symptoms of botulism usually start with weakness of muscles that control eyes, face, mouth and throat. “Our customers’ safety is of paramount importance and Death Wish Coffee is taking this significant, proactive step, of recalling all Death Wish Nitro cans from shelves,” Mike Brown, founder and owner of Death Wish Coffee Co said. Customers who bought product through company’s website are guaranteed a refund within 60 days. The cans were also for sale at independent retailers and grocery stores, mostly on East Coast. No illnesses have been reported. The recall by Round Lake, NY-based Death Wish was issued as a precaution measure.
