Beyonce has finally unveiled the 2 newest additions to the Carter family. The 35 years old pop star, who also shares daughter Blue Ivy 5 years old with Jay Z, shared the first official photo of her 2 new bundles of joy on Instagram on Thursday night. Alongside photo, which was taken in the garden of her $400,000 a month Malibu rental, she confirmed the names of the boy and girl as she wrote ‘Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today.’
She looked to have bounced back into fantastic shape as she sported a flowy pink floral dress and long blue veil. Sir Carter and Rumi as they looked adorable while resting comfortably in their mother’s arms. The family are staying at the lavish Malibu home, which boasts ‘unobstructed views’ of the Pacific Ocean, 14 bathrooms, 10 bedrooms and a 25ft infinity pool too.
The home is known as La Villa Contenta and icon is renting it until the end of August. Set on a bluff overlooking the sea, La Villa Contenta has extensive 6,3 acre grounds, which contain a rose garden with more than 1’000 flower bushes, a landscaped desert area and a tennis court complete with a viewing deck. Other buildings on estate, which is listed for sale at $54,5m, include a ‘natatorium’, or pool house, ‘inspired by grand European follies’, a large office building and a staff housing complex.
Her latest post was very much in style of her pregnancy announcement back in January. It was such a hit on social media that it quickly became the most liked pic on Instagram. The record-breaking photo sees Bey, holding her new bump, wearing just a bra, underwear and a veil, in front of a huge wreath of flowers. ‘We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes- The Carters’ she wrote.
No doubt Beyonce and her 47 years old mogul husband are intending on keeping the names Sir Carter and Rumi special as they have reportedly filed trademarks to protect them. Last month the company run by Beyonce and Jay Z, real name Shawn Corey Carter, filed legal documents on Friday to secure the rights to the unusual monikers. While both names are distinctly unusual choices, Sir is the more uncommon of the 2, with the name normally used as a title before a man’s first name. While Rumi is a Japanese girls name, it’s also the last name of the famed 13th century Persian poet Jelaluddin Rumi.
The singer and NY born rap star welcomed their twins into the world in early June and are both said to be overjoyed. Along with their boy-girl twins, the couple, who have been married since April of 2008, are also parents to 5 years old daughter Blue Ivy. Before the birth of Blue Ivy, Beyonce devastatingly suffered a miscarriage.
In her 2013 HBO documentary, Life Is But a Dream, she spoke about heartbreaking experience for first time. ‘About 2 years ago, I was pregnant for the first time and I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life. I picked out names, I envisioned what my child would look like. I was feeling very maternal’ she revealed.
Tragically, Beyonce lost the child in early stages of her pregnancy. ‘I flew back to NY to get my check up and no heartbeat. Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat’ she said. She also explained that writing songs about the experience acted as a form of ‘therapy’ as she struggled to cope with the devastating loss.
The arrival of Beyonce’s twins come as Jay Z has released his new album 4:44. The album is regarded by fans to be responding to Beyonce’s album Lemonade, in which she sings of infidelity. Jay’s 4:44 title track features an apology from him to Beyonce and speculation is rife that it is a direct reference to claims she hinted to him being unfaithful with ‘Becky with the good hair’ on her visual LP Lemonade.
His lyrics include: ‘If my children knew, I don’t even know what I would do. If they ain’t look at me the same, I would probably die with all the shame. You did what with who? What good is a ménage a trois when you have a soulmate, you risked that for Blue? I apologise, often womanise, took my child to be born, see through a woman’s eyes. Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles. Took me too long for this song. I don’t deserve you.’
In another song he also appears to reference infamous Met Gala 2014 incident in which he was attacked in a lift by sister-in-law Solange Knowles. He says ‘You egged Solange on, knowing all along all you had to say you was wrong.’ Blue Ivy is also featured on one of tracks, proving that she takes after her father by rapping on the album.
In a recent interview, rapper admitted the ‘hardest thing’ he is ever done is having to face up to potential difficulties in his marriage and try to work them out. He said ‘This is my real life, I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100% truth and it starts cracking.’ Jay Z recently announced he will be away from home as he is going on a huge North American tour for 2017 in support for his new album 4:44. Jay Z will start off the run of dates on October 27 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California and will conclude with a show at The Forum in Los Angeles on December 21.
