R. Marcos Taylor, who played Suge Knight in 2015’s “Straight Outta Compton,” is facing serious charges following a knockdown, drag out fight at a Green Brook, NJ, restaurant. The actor has been charged with 4 counts of assault, 1 count of criminal mischief and 1 count of disorderly conduct. The incident is told to have taken place August 9 at a Carrabbas restaurant in Garden State. It is unclear yet what sparked the altercation, but TMZ reports that Taylor is accused of having punched the eatery’s manager several times in face. Taylor also apparently punched a woman in the side of head during the fight. Several employees attempted to intervene, unsuccessfully, according to site. Taylor, who could not be reached by us for comment, maintained his innocence when speaking with TMZ about incident. He claimed he was jumped in the Carrabbas parking lot, but told he could not delve any further into the details. His attorney said publication Taylor did not punch or kick anyone. He claimed that his client was acting in self-defense. This is not Taylor’s first run in with law. According to Miami Herald, he was arrested in May 2017 and hit with similar charges. Police said publication at time that Taylor grew irate after being asked to get his feet off the lobby furniture in a Sunny Isles Beach, Fla, resort. He refused and a guard called police. Taylor was accused of having shoved guard. Police said Miami Herald that after they arrived they saw Taylor “pick the victim up and slam him into the ground.” The prior case against Taylor is still pending.
