A Panthers fan standing in nosebleed section during Thursday night’s game against Eagles in Charlotte drew blood after he sucker punched another man in face during a heated argument. In a video published to Instagram, Carolina fan, wearing a black Cam Newton jersey, turns to face seated man, who is confronting him about blocking his view of field. Newton fan then strikes the older man with a right handed jab square to his face, prompting others to intervene. Offender throws 3 more punches, but flailing hands and arms lessen the impact. Attacker soon forces his female friend away from her quarrel as two make their way toward exit, leaving the man as blood drips down his face and stains his white T-shirt.

dude bro & his chicka were standing for the entire game. words gradually got more and more escalated. there previously was a single mom and her son between us, they left halfway through the 3rd. after that, the lid was off. the dude took offense to the couple never sitting down and obstructing his view. the victim telling the dude bro how they’re being jerks and how rude they are for not sitting. the dude bro turns around and calls the victim a “geriatric fuck”, “faggot”, and “hick”. then sucker punches him right in the face. i don’t know if he got away or left in handcuffs, but i hope it’s the latter. edit: to clarify further, both the puncher and punchee were wearing Panthers attire. The assailant was seated in section 541, row 24, seat 10.

An Instagram user identified as Warren C shared video and explained what led to fight. “dude bro & his chicka were standing for the entire game. words gradually got more and more escalated. there previously was a single mom and her son between us, they left halfway through the 3rd. after that, the lid was off. the dude took offense to the couple never sitting down and obstructing his view. the victim telling the dude bro how they’re being jerks and how rude they are for not sitting. the dude bro turns around and calls the victim a “geriatric f–k”, “f—–,” and “hick”. then sucker punches him right in the face. i don’t know if he got away or left in handcuffs, but i hope it’s the latter” says caption, which has been edited to exclude profanities. Warren C told in a comment that victim was also a Panthers fan and that team allegiances didn’t factor into incident. NFL on Friday told it has been in contact with Panthers security regarding the altercation. “We take all of these very seriously” league said, according to NFL Network. Panthers lost to Eagles, 28-23, falling to 4-2 on season.
