Marilyn Manson wielded a fake semi-automatic rifle during a performance in San Bernardino, California on Sunday, less than 2 years after a horrific terror attack occurred in city. Artist whose shock-value antics have regularly garnered attention over years showcased fake weapon as he sang his song “We Know Where You F—ing Live,” pointing the prop toward crowd as he sang from a microphone attached to the rifle. The sound of gunfire was simulated by drummer pounding on his instrument. The weapon was clearly not real and overall audience wasn’t offended by the stunt, according to town’s local newspaper, The San Bernardino Sun. But some people did find the gimmick to be “lame,” according to newspaper’s coverage. A total of 14 people were killed and 22 more were injured during December 2015 mass shooting at Southern California city’s Inland Regional Center, which was carried out by a married couple that was ultimately killed in a shootout with police. Manson’s performance came mere hours after Sunday’s tragic mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, where at least 26 people, ranging in age from 18 months to 77, were killed when a shooter opened fire at First Baptist Church. Manson 48 years old was dressed as a hospital patient as he held the gun onstage, sitting in a wheelchair as he performed. He broke his leg last month during another performance when a gun prop fell onto it. His performance Sunday was part of Knotfest music festival, which also featured a set by Rob Zombie, among others.
